Mandi & Joe got married at the Historical Oxford Community Arts Center. The ballroom was added by Miami University in 1929 with monies raised by the Daughters of the American Revolution so in my opinion this is as close to Stars Hollow as you can get!
The day was a little chilly but they handled it with such grace so that we were able to take photographs around the venue.. There were so many personal elements to their wedding day, it was truly a reflection of Mandi’s heart and the details incorporated made everything about their wedding day so personal, and so truly them. It was magical.
Mandi wore her mother’s wedding dress (with a few adjustments), she hand dyed the paper and hand crafted all of the floral elements, had a family friend officiate, and had their first dance to Mumford & Sons with Baaba Maal “There Will Be Time.” I may or may not have shed a tear. So romantic. The reception ended with dancing and lots of fun for all! There was a cookie table from Insomnia Cookies and if you are familiar then you know how hard it was to stay away from that table all night!!
Mandi & Joe’s wedding will remain a long time favorite of mine because this is what a wedding should feel like… Having the greatest day ever where you marry your best friend!
