I call Cincinnati, Ohio home with my incredible husband (newlywed, here!), and a very spoiled rescue dog.

With a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning; creating has always been at the heart of who I am while also being drawn to people and relationships.

Weddings are, at their essence, crazy awesome celebrations of love and joy. They are full of of people who travelled near and far to be there, lots of emotions, and of course lots of dancing!

I believe in capturing romantic portraiture through gentle posing and guidance but also the real, honest moments. I strive to document the joyful, real interactions and emotions that occur while also gently guiding you during classic portraits. I also promise that we will have lot's of fun!

On wedding days you will find me taking photos while cleaning messy hotel rooms, pinning boutonnières, watching out for hair ties, fixing the dress's train, holding bouquets and making sure that you are taken care of and comfortable, all while taking gorgeous photos of you and your boo!

My editing style is traditional & true to color, clean and timeless so that your photos stand the test of time.
In hopes that they will always take you back to the way you felt that day, even 50 years from now.

MY WHY

MY WHY

In 2010 I was a sophomore in college and my grandma was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I spent a lot of time with her as her cancer took over and her health became worse. On one occasion I brought a camera along with me to her house. She was no longer able to communicate. I talked to her, showed her my new camera and when I did my grandpa leaned over and gave her a kiss.
She smiled.
She was with us.
And I captured it on camera.
That was the the last time I ever saw her smile, she passed away 4 days later.
That is why I take photos. I take them so that you can remember the fleeting moments, the real moments, the joyful moments and everything in between so that those moments can last forever.

A wedding day can feel just like this -fleeting moments- gone in a blink of the eye. That is where my job comes in.. To preserve these moments in your history so that these moments are not gone forever, but forever here to stay.

HOME

Alex is truly one of those people who is impossible to not love- which does so much for her photography! I was so nervous that I would feel awkward and not know what to do when being photographed, but she has an impeccable talent for getting you into your comfort zone. She gives you as much freedom as you'd like, but can sense when you're out of your element and steps right in to guide you. Even our entire family and bridal party during the photo taking was commenting on how efficient, friendly and funny Alex was.

Caitlin & Nick

Alex takes beautiful photos, and is super accommodating. She wants the best for you on your wedding day, and through the entire process. She did a wonderful job making us feel comfortable. She is so kind and fun making the picture process VERY enjoyable.

I truly feel photography as art is super important, but it’s important to also connect with your photographer. Through our engagement session, all the way to our big day, she made us feel special and we had so much fun working with her! And I sent her countless texts about places to do pictures, outfits for engagement pictures, etc etc and she never made me feel like I was bothering her. You can truly tell she loves what she does.

MARGARITAS

On the rocks and with salt, please!

I am a firm believe there is nothing that a margarita (or a bubble bath) cannot cure.

READING

I love a good read!
I am passionate about English and literature. I was actually an English major for a year in college before I transferred to the art department to get my BFA.

When I finish a great book I actually get depressed for a few days when it is over. I love quotes from literature, too and I love hearing quotes incorporated into a wedding ceremony or decor.

ICE CREAM

Ice Cream is a complete food group in my life that I believe I can live off of.

Can I get an Amen?
