On your day, you want someone there for you who will catch all the little details: watching for hair ties on wrists, cleaning distracting hotel backgrounds, all while capturing those special in-between moments.
Like the tears in your mom's eyes as she stands back and sees you in your dress, or your grandparents busting a move on the dance floor. These are the moments I am drawn to.
You see, here is my philosophy-
While planning for your wedding is absolutely crucial (believe me I could put Monica Geller to shame with my planning), I gravitate towards the moments that live off a timeline, because so much of the magic that happens on your day can never be planned for.
Weddings are full of unscripted celebrations showcasing human connection. That is truly the best part.
I strive to to create imagery that is artistic, sometimes gently posed, but also authentic and real. My style is natural, joy-filled, and romantic, so that your wedding photos will always stand the test of time.
Your photos should always take you back to the way you felt- so you will always be able to relive the day, your celebration and the promises that you are making to each other.
Hi there!
I'm Alex- I'm married to my husband, Ryan and we live in Northern Kentucky. I primarily serve the Ohio and Kentucky area.
I am a mom of two (typing this out is hard to believe!) I have a newborn and a toddler, and we also have a very spoiled rescue dog, Jax.
My 4 sisters are my best friends (I'm a total girl's girl) and one very proud auntie :)
I love cooking from scratch, soft sunlight, being barefoot, and going on walks. I enjoy reading classic fiction novels and listening to podcasts about business and my favorite is Armchair Expert. I rewatch Gilmore Girls every year.
Swipe to see a little more about me!

I believe in capturing romantic joy-filled portraiture through gentle posing and guidance but also the real, unplanned moments.

Yes, I am one of those crazy dog ladies :)
My dog, Jax, is about as spoiled as they get, he even
sleeps on the pillows and gets lots of treats!
Being a fur-mama is my favorite thing in the
world and so is connecting with other animal lovers.
We love to go on hikes, play with other dogs,
walk to coffee shops and take long naps (especially this).

On the rocks and with salt, please!
I am a firm believe there is nothing that a margarita (or a bubble bath) cannot cure.

I love a good read!
I am passionate about English and literature. I was actually an English major for a year in college before I transferred to the art department to get my BFA.
When I finish a great book I actually get depressed for a few days when it is over. I love quotes from literature, too and I love hearing quotes incorporated into a wedding ceremony or decor.

Ice Cream is a complete food group in my life that I believe I can live off of.
Can I get an Amen?

In 2010 I was a sophomore in college and my grandma was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
I spent a lot of time with her as her cancer took over and her health became worse. On one occasion I brought a camera along with me to her house. She was no longer able to communicate.
I talked to her, showed her my new camera and when I did my grandpa leaned over and gave her a kiss.
She smiled.
She was with us.
And I captured it on camera.
That was the the last time I ever saw her smile, she passed away 4 days later.
That is why I take photos. I take them so that you can remember the fleeting moments, the real moments, the joyful moments and everything in between so that those moments can last forever.
Back Home
Handwritten/ custom vows.
The cake cutting. Such a fun classic moment!
Genuine, unposed laughter.
Anytime the couple holds hands, or rests their heads on each other. Especially during toasts and "in between" moments.
Emotions from the parents, grandparents and others friends close to the couple. This is something I am always looking to capture and preserve.
Kids at weddings. They always keep things interesting. Bring on the kiddos!
Getting ready that day. I love how laid back it is, yet the anticipation is there.
A *lit* dance floor!
