MY BIO

I am a Cincinnati girl (living in NKY).

When I was a senior in college in 2013/2014 I interned with a wedding photographer after applying with the credentials - "I watch Say Yes to the Dress." Luckily it worked because it changed my life.

I believe in capturing romantic curated images with gentle posing and guidance but also the real, honest ones. The moments that live off a timeline and can never be planned for.

Can you even imagine what these photos will mean to you and your family in 5, 10, 20 years from now?

Sometimes I think about that and what absolute honor this career is. It continues to teach me SO much about life and human connection.

I have 4 sisters aka BFFs, an incredible husband I do not deserve, and a spoiled rescue dog. I love binge watching TV series (current obsessions- Handmaids Tale (even though it is messed up) Grey's Anatomy & Seinfeld), enjoying margaritas and eating too much ice cream. Seriously it is my love language.

I love 90s music, lazy days napping with my dog Jax, and anything floral print. Especially wallpaper. I will probably drink at least 2 Coca-Colas at your reception. Guilty pleasure.

After booking, we'll schedule your engagement session. This is one of our favorite parts of the wedding photography process!  I love getting to know all of my couples not only as clients, but as friends! This kind of relationship is essential in making your images intimate and personal. This is why engagement sessions are so important!

I will be by your side for almost your entire wedding day - so I want you to feel comfortable! Engagement sessions act as a “test run” for you two in front of the camera and as a way for us to get to know each other.

Once the wedding day rolls around, you'll be pros!

IT ALL STARTED...

In 2010 I was a sophomore in college and my grandma was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I spent a lot of time with her as her cancer took over and her health became worse. On one occasion I brought a camera along with me to her house. She was no longer able to communicate. I talked to her, showed her my new camera and when I did my grandpa leaned over and gave her a kiss.
She smiled.
She was with us.
And I captured it on camera.
That was the the last time I ever saw her smile, she passed away 4 days later.

This was the first time I witnessed the power documentation in photos. I take photos so that you can remember the fleeting moments, the messy and real moments, the joyful moments and everything in between so that those moments can last forever.

A wedding day can feel just like this -fleeting moments- gone in a blink of the eye. That is where my job comes in.. To preserve these moments in your history so that these moments are not gone forever, but forever here to stay.

With a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning and experience shooting weddings since 2014,
you can trust that I am prepared for
whatever may happen on your big day.
From rainy outdoor ceremonies, late timelines, and everything in between I am prepared you serve you and your families and remind you that this day only happens once- embrace every crazy, unplanned yet perfect moment.

Believe that they are planning a marriage, not just a wedding (but can't wait to get it on the dance floor!!)

Are joyful and laugh easily.

Are genuine and caring and make everyone around them feel good.

Love movie nights at home, ice cream and popcorn with Netlix reruns

Someone might ugly cry at the wedding (It's okay, I'll cry with you).

Organized but can also go with the flow. (So important on a wedding day!)

Knows some things only margaritas can cure ;)

Can't wait to marry their best friend!

MY COUPLES:

About Me

I wasn't sad when my wedding was over. I was just SO overwhelmingly happy about the day that happened. My wedding day was a dream- but being married to my best friend- now THAT is even better.

I'm Alex and I'm a newlywed, dog-momma, Enneagram 2 (I basically live to help & serve other people.) I am always available for wine nights, texts, advice, and anything you need. My guilty pleasures are watching Seinfeld (90s girl here) and listening to Crime Junkies podcast.
I have 4 sisters so I am a total girl’s girl and I will approach all situations from that point of view- as a wedding professional and also with real advice and feedback as a friend (if you need it).

I love weddings for what they are- unscripted celebrations showcasing human connection. Every wedding is different but every single one is so special- full of of unique people, family, friendships, love, sometimes sadness, and of course lots of dancing. I believe that it’s important to plan but also to live in the moment, and embrace what makes each wedding special and your own. I strive to document the candid, genuine interactions and emotions while also guiding you during the romantic and classic portraits.

My editing is bright, clean and timeless so that your photos stand the test of time #noIGfilters in hopes that they will always take you back to the way you felt that day, even 50 years from now.

MY RESCUE
DOG

Yes, I am one of those crazy dog ladies :)
My dog, Jax, is about as spoiled as they get, he even
sleeps on the pillows and gets lots of treats!

Being a fur-mama is my favorite thing in the
world and so is connecting with other animal lovers.

We love to go on hikes, play with other dogs,
walk to coffee shops and take long naps (especially this).

MARGARITAS

On the rocks and with salt, please!

I am a firm believe there is nothing that a margarita (or a bubble bath) cannot cure.

READING

I love a good read!
I am passionate about English and literature. I was actually an English major for a year in college before I transferred to the art department to get my BFA.

When I finish a great book I actually get depressed for a few days when it is over. I love quotes from literature, too and I love hearing quotes incorporated into a wedding ceremony or decor.

ICE CREAM

Ice Cream is a complete food group in my life that I believe I can live off of.

Can I get an Amen?
