Family photography that is classic, candid and joyful.

PHOTOS THAT FEEL.

Creating has always been at the heart of who I am. If you are on my site, you likely know about my wedding photography career that I absolutely love. But I also have a new title now, and probably my favorite one yet- Mom. To the sweetest one year old, Oliver, who I still can’t believe is mine to love forever. My greatest inspiration.

And as a parent, I know how much faster time passes. It really does somehow. And that there will never be enough time. Have you ever been in a moment and missed it before it was even gone? I have. Because sometimes it feels chaotic, and yes the days can be long, but they’re also so full of beauty, and they are fleeting. And this is why documenting this time in our lives is so valuable.

Most parents don't get to see themselves as parents. I believe that photography is a gift that allows you to do just that - really see yourself in joy and love- with your family. To create memories that you will always have, memories that you will one day go through photo boxes and albums together and uncover. Memories that will fill your home with daily reminders of how blessed you are within your walls.

We'll definitely get the “safe” shots, and the ones smiling towards the camera. But we'll also get the little moments in between. The moments of comfort, consoling, playing and distracting.

So relax momma- and know that we are going to capture beautiful photos of you and your family. Exactly as you are. And it's more than enough.

Sessions begin at $400

MY WHY

MY WHY

In 2010 I was a sophomore in college and my grandma was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I spent a lot of time with her as her cancer took over and her health became worse. On one occasion I brought a camera along with me to her house. She was no longer able to communicate. I talked to her, showed her my new camera and when I did my grandpa leaned over and gave her a kiss.
She smiled.
She was with us.
And I captured it on camera.
That was the the last time I ever saw her smile, she passed away 4 days later.
That is why I take photos. I take them so that you can remember the fleeting moments, the real moments, the joyful moments and everything in between so that those moments can last forever.

A wedding day can feel just like this -fleeting moments- gone in a blink of the eye. That is where my job comes in.. To preserve these moments in your history so that these moments are not gone forever, but forever here to stay.

MARGARITAS

On the rocks and with salt, please!

I am a firm believe there is nothing that a margarita (or a bubble bath) cannot cure.

READING

I love a good read!
I am passionate about English and literature. I was actually an English major for a year in college before I transferred to the art department to get my BFA.

When I finish a great book I actually get depressed for a few days when it is over. I love quotes from literature, too and I love hearing quotes incorporated into a wedding ceremony or decor.

ICE CREAM

Ice Cream is a complete food group in my life that I believe I can live off of.

Can I get an Amen?
